Special LGO examination to fill up unfilled backlog reserved PWD vacancies under departmental quota for promotion to the cadre of PA/SA

A Special LGO examination to fill up unfilled backlog reserved PWD vacancies under departmental quota for promotion to the cadre of PA/SA in subordinate offices will be held on 05.02.2012 (Sunday) in accordance with Chief PMG, Tamil Nadu Circle letter No. REP/4-2/Backlog/2011 dated 16.12.2011 which has been communicated through RO, Cbe lr No.REP/50040/LGO-PWD/11 dated 19.12.2011.

2. The examination will be held in all divisions in Tamilnadu circle. If vacancies are not eventually identified and notified in this division the qualified candidates will be treated as surplus qualified candidates and will be considered for allotment to other divisions of Western Region where there is shortfall to the extent of notified vacancies. The candidates may take up the examination in ENGLISH/HINDI.

4. The details of unfilled backlog reserved vacancies in PWDs category is given below. The following vacancy position is subject to change on the outcome of result of the LGO exam held on 16.10.2011. The revised and final no. of vacancies will be intimated later.

5.  Syllabus for the special exam is as follows:
            a) Postal Assistant:
(i)                Post Office Guide Part – I Sections I to V.
(ii)             P & T Manual, Volume V – Chapters 1 & 2.
(iii)           P & T Manual, Volume VI – Part I – except Appendix.


6. Candidates belonging to only PWDs category are eligible to take up the above mentioned exam.

7. The last date for submission of application by the eligible PWD candidates is on 11.01.2012. Belated receipt of applications will summarily be rejected. The application can be obtained from Divisional office on requisition by the candidates.

8. The name of the community/Tribe should be mentioned in the applications in respect of SC/ST candidates.

9. The applicants should enclose Two (2) passport size photos with their applications.

10. Permanent officials with not less than 3 years of regular service as on the last date for receipt of application in Divisional Office are eligible to appear for the examination.

11. Applications should be date stamped by the offices concerned on receipt.

12. HPMs/SPMs will circulate this under acquittance to all eligible officials including those who are on leave, deputation etc.

A Special LGO examination to fill up unfilled backlog reserved SCs/STs vacancies under departmental quota for promotion to the cadre of PA/SA in subordinate offices will be held on 05.02.2012(Sunday) in accordance with Chief PMG, Tamil Nadu Circle letter No. REP/4-2/Backlog/2011 dated 16.12.2011 which has been communicated through RO lr No. REP/50040/LGO/backlog SC-ST/11 dated 23.12.2011. Volunteers to work as Office Assistant & Care taker in PTC, Madurai

Sub: Volunteers to work as Office Assistant in PTC, Madurai– Reg.

1. Applications in the prescribed proforma enclosed are invited from eligible officials to work as Office Assistant at PTC, Madurai on deputation basis for a period of 4 years. PAs with a minimum of 5 years of service is eligible to apply.

2. Officials having typing as well as computer knowledge will be given preference.

3. Occupation of quarters and stay within PTC campus is compulsory. The declaration to this effect should be furnished in the proforma prescribed in the application form.

4. The official will have to perform outdoor duties as and when need arises.
