Sub: Selection for Two posts of Instructor in PTC, Madurai–Reg.

Volunteers for the post of Instructor, PTC, Madurai is called for. The official eligible for appointment as Instructor should possess the following qualifications:-

1.      He/She should preferably be a graduate and if possible with some teaching experience, knowledge of Hindi may be considered as an additional qualification.

2.      Consideration Zone for selection of Instructor shall cover IP/IRM, Postal/Sorting Assistants also with a Minimum of eight years service upto and including LSG cadre (non Postmaster Grade Officials).

3.      He/She should have personality with smart appearance, well dressed, neat, tidy and methodical in work

4.      He/She should not be more than 52 years of age.

5.      He/She should have good knowledge of Departmental Rules and Procedures /Departmental Software and other software being used in Post offices and very fluent in speaking English/Hindi.

6.      He/She should have aptitude for the job.

            The post of Instructor carries a Training allowance of 15% of basic pay. The Volunteers must have good command over English. Computer Literacy and knowledge of typing will be additional qualifications. Instructors are expected to take additional activities like mess management, library work and trainee’s welfare. They are also required to prepare training materials apart from the class room assignments. They will be provided with Rent-free Quarters either type II or type III. The selected officials should compulsorily reside in the PTC campus.

            The officials who are likely to retire or due for promotion within four years need not apply. The tenure of Instructors will be normally a period of 4 years. The selected officials should be ready to join the institution immediately. Withdrawal of candidature after selection or during the period of tenure will not be considered on any account.

            The applicants are informed that there would be a screening test to test the knowledge of the applicants on Departmental rules and computer and on their ability to present the subjects, etc.

PM Grade I Examination to be held on 03.06.2012- URGENT

1. The limited Departmental competitive Examination for promotion to the cadre of Postmaster Grade I is scheduled to be held on 03.06.2012.

2. Eligibility: The Postal Assistants working in post offices in the Pay Band –I i.e Rs.5200-20200/- with a Grade pay of Rs.2400/- with 05 years of regular service are eligible. The crucial date for computing the minimum qualifying service of 05 years will be as on 01.01.2012.

3. This may be brought to notice of all officials those who are on leave, training, deputation under proper accquitance without fail.

4. The applications on plain paper from willing officials may be obtained and intimated to this office over phone before 1000 Hrs on 18.04.2012. The willingness letter must reach this office before 19.04.2012.

Limited Competitive Examination for Promotion to the cadre of Postmaster Grade I

Volunteers for officiating IP, Sankari Drug Sub Dn

Volunteers are called for officiating in the following post for not exceeding 120 days:

1.    IP, Sankaridrug Sub Dn, Sankari R.S. 637302

 Eligibility: As applicable to candidates appearing for the IP examination.

a.      Minimum 05 years unblemished service in clerical cadre.

b.      Age limit – For OC officials: Below 40 years.

For SC/ ST officials: Below 45 years.

 

Preference will be given for those officials who are willing to work without TA/ TP.

Volunteers to work as Physical Training Instructor in PTC, Madurai

1. Applications in the prescribed proforma enclosed are invited from eligible officials to work as Physical Training Instructor at PTC, Madurai on deputation basis for a period of 3 years. PAs with a minimum of 8 years of service is eligible to apply.

2. Officials should have passed in the matriculation or an equivalent examination and they should possess a certificate in physical education from a recognized institution.

3. Occupation of quarters and stay within PTC campus is compulsory. The declaration to this effect should be furnished in the proforma prescribed in the application form.

Volunteer to work as System Administrator, Tiruchengodu HO

Volunteers are called for from officials in PA cadre to work as System administrator with Head Quarters at Tiruchengodu HO.

The official should be willing to travel to all SOs for installation of Software and troubleshooting. Selection will be made based on past experience and Educational qualification.
