Sub: Half Yearly Enumeration of Unregistered Postal Articles for the period 
                    from 08.08.2013 to 21.08.2013 –reg

·         This is regarding Half Yearly enumeration of unregistered postal articles to be conducted from 08.08.2013 to 21.08.2013 (Both days inclusive). The statistics of the department are complied from these returns and the value of the enumeration depends upon the intelligence and accuracy with which it is made. PMs / SPMs and BPMs are therefore required to give personal attention to this work. The proforma prescribed for noting the enumeration is enclosed herewith.

·         The enumeration must be made daily by each PM/SPM/BPM of the number of ordinary unregistered articles of the letter mail and unregistered parcel given out for delivery to the Postmen, GDS MD and from the window.

·         The different classes of postal service articles of the unregistered letter mail should also be counted separately and the total number of articles of each class should be shown in the enumeration return against the appropriate head.

·         The SPMs and PMs should pay their personal attention and count all types of unregistered mails received everyday from 08.08.2013 to 21.08.2013 and note down the same in the proforma immediately.

·         The SPM’s should, after consolidating the return figures received from the BO’s and forward the consolidated report to the HO on or before 23.08.2013.

·         And the HO in turn by consolidating all the figures received from SO’s along with HO figure and should submit the returns as detailed below to D.O on or before 25.08.2013 and also send a soft copy to the email id nkldiv.wr@gmail.com of D.O on that day itself.

4.   Proforma A

·         The Postmaster should keep the statistics received from the SOs at his office itself safely.

            The SPM’s will instruct the BPM’s under their control through BO slip sending a copy of the proforma to each BO. Failure to maintain the enumeration figures and submit the return in time will be viewed seriously.

 SHORT LISTED CANDIDATES FOR PAPER II  The list in respect of the remaining Postal Circles will be published shortly.

II.The above Short List has been prepared in accordance with the procedure published in the Notification No 60-9/2009 SPB1 dated 8-5-2012. The candidates who figure in the above list have qualified for appearing in the Paper II based on marks in the Paper I.

III The list is in order of Roll Number.

IV. Paper II is tentatively scheduled on 10th,11th,24th,25th,31th August 2013 and 1st September 2013

V. Admit Card for Paper II will be dispatched shortly. Admit Card can also be generated on this website by the candidates.

Sub      :          Booking and dispatch of Relief Materials to Uttarakhand State by Post without charging postage – reg
           
            This is regarding Booking and dispatch of Relief Materials to Uttarakhand State by Post without charging postage. A copy of Dte. Lr.No.30-27/2013-D dated xx.07.13 is enclosed herewith for your kind information. As you aware that the recent floods and landslides in the state of Uttarakhand have led to massive damage to the life and property and have rendered many people without a shelter. Relief material such as cloths, blankets, woolens, utensils, edible items, medicines is being sent by people across country. Our Directorate has decided to collect the relief material from the general public / institution / agencies / NGO free of postage and dispatch the same to Uttarakhand State as a goodwill gesture.

            In this connection, the following instructions may kindly be followed at each HO.

    1.    Facility for booking for providing relief material at HPOs would be provided with immediate effect and upto 20.07.13.

    2.    The Package containing relief material can be accepted upto 35 Kg of weight for a single package. The sender would not be required to pay any postage for this purpose.

   3.    Package of the relief material booked should be closed in a bag addressed to Sr.Postmaster, Dehradun GPO – 248 001 and dispatched by surface mode.

    4.    For booking of packages containing relief material, special receipts may be got printed with the heading “Relief Material for Uttarakhand flood victims” at the top of the receipt. Receipt should be printed in duplicate with sl.No.0001 to 9999 along with date. The original copy may be handed over to the send and the carbon copy may be kept as office copy. Serial number of the receipt and date of booking should be clearly and legibly written on the package and it should be stamped with the name stamp of the booking Head Office.

    5.    A display in this regard should be placed in the office notice board.

You are instructed to ensure that the parcel booked for relief material should not be detained at any point on any account.
