Sub :    Staging of short play during the 28^th All India Postal Cultural Meet to

be held at Madhya Pradesh Circle – Calling for scripts – reg

            The Postal Directorate has proposed to conduct 28^th All India Cultural Meet at Madhya Pradesh Circle. During the Cultural Meet, Short Plays will also be staged. For this maximum of six plays are allowed to be staged, and the selection is made at the Directorate level. Accordingly, the short play script from the units are invited as per following guidelines

1. The script should be original work of an employee, his/ her spouse or dependent children. Scripts should not have been staged during any previous meet or have been rejected in the past.

2. Theme of the script should be of social values and written in a decent and presentable language. Three copies of the neatly typed script in double space should be sent along with its synopsis.

3. If the script is in a Regional language, complete English translation may also please be sent.

4. A maximum number of 8 artists are allowed for the short play and no artist will be allowed to play more than one role.

5. There should be minimum number of multiple breaks during the one act play.

6. All the artists shall have to be from amongst the staff and there families only.

7. In addition to the artists, Director of the short play should also have to be member of the staff or family members as specified above. In case the Director is also a participant, then the contingent of the team is required to be restricted to 8 only.

8. Duration of the short play will be minimum of 20 Minutes and a maximum upto 45 Minutes. 30 Minutes are allowed for setting, lighting and dismantling etc.

This may be circulated to all and the scripts on the subjects above if any, may be sent to this office on or before 12.10.13. Script after the stipulated date will not be considered.
