            Sub:    Observance of Sadbhavana Diwas Day on 20^th August 2013 - reg

           

            As you are aware, 20^th August is observed as “Sadbhavana Diwas” every year. The objective behind observance of this day is to be promote national integration and communal harmony among people of all religions, languages and regions and to eschew violence and to promote goodwill among the people. To promote this idea further, the fortnight beginning from 20^th August to 3^rd September, 2013 is observed as “Communal Harmony Fortnight” every year. An important feature of observance of the “Sadbhavana Diwas” is pledge taking ceremony.

           

            Hence all are requested to take pledge on 20.08.2013 at all the operative / administrative office at 1100 hours.

SADBHAVANA DAY PLEDGE

           

            “ I take this solemn pledge that I will work for the emotional oneness and harmony of all the people of India regardless of caste, region, religion or language. I further pledge that I shall resolve all difference among us through dialogue and constitutional means without resorting to violence “
