During
the Divisional heads conference held at RO, Coimbatore on 18.07.12 in c/w
Redesigned network for first class mail, PMG has ordered for the following
action.
1.
Closing
of TD and Non-TD bags
Despite of
instructions issued from this office few of the offices are still not closing two
bags for I class mails viz., TD and Non-TD to the linked L1 or L2 office. Hence
all the SPMs should ensure proper closing of bags, as prescribed by the
Directorate.
2. Sorting of articles in wrong bag
It is also
noticed that some of the offices are mis-sorting the articles and wrongly
include the articles in the irrelevant bags. If a NTD article is missorted in a
TD bag, the same will be processed at RMS units only after midnight when all
NTD mails would have left RMS for further connection and this NTD article
included in the TD bag will suffer one day delay. This may be avoided and the
head of office should ensure sorting of TD / NTD articles properly.
3. Using barcodes for booking
Now some of the Offices are not affixing
barcode stickers for registered articles and barcoded bag labels for closing
registered bags. Therefore, necessary instruction may be issued all concern to
use barcode stickers for booking and barcode label for closing bags without
fail.
