The
Chief Postmaster General, TN Circle, Chennai – 600 002 vide his letter no.
WLF/GDS/CBF/2006-2009 dated 07.03.12 conveyed that, in exercise of the powers
conferred by law of 17 of the GDS Benevolent Fund, the management Committee for
TN Circle Benevolent Fund unanimously decided to amend the sub section 1 under
Bye-law 2 and Bye-law 12.2 and sub clause (ii) under Bye-Law 2 of the constitution
of GDS Benevolent Fund to the effect that,
(i) the
death relief from GDS Benevolent Fund has been increased from Rs.10,000/- to
Rs.20,000/-
(ii) financial
assistance to GDS officials from prolonged / serious illness from GDS
Benevolent Fund has been enhanced from Rs.7500/- to Rs.10,000/-.
The revision shall
take effect from 01.04.2012 onwards.
