of Rakhi mails - reg
The Raksha Bandhan Day will be observed on 02.08.12
throughout the country. Directorate has directed to make special arrangement
for delivery of Rakhi mails to avoid any bottle neck and the instructions
issued by the Directorate is noted below for information and necessary action.
·
Under
no circumstances Rakhi Mails be sent loose unsorted in the bags or dumped to
another office.
·
The
timely clearance of mails from letter boxes and preparation of LBs / bags etc.,
should be ensured.
·
Adequate
care should be taken for expeditious facing, stamping, sorting and disposal at
every stage of handling.
·
Special
mail arrangements is recommended to be made to handle postings of Rakhi mails
in Post Offices.
·
Special
counters should be opened in the important Post Offices and special letter
boxes, carton boxes may be provided for different destinations with clear
identification.
·
The
arrangement must be made for supply of sufficient quantity of postage stamps
and envelopes.
·
If
any envelopes containing Rakhi is found torn, opened and damaged it should be
protected properly and disposed off and arrangement and care must be taken to
protect Rakhi mails from rains.
This may be brought to the notice of
all concerned without fail and the SPMs should convey this to all BOs through
BO slips.
All the PMs / SPMS should send a
report showing the quantum of Rakhi
mails received and disposed off from
15.07.12 to 02.08.12 to this office on or before 02.08.12 over phone or mail (nklarrow@gmail.com).
