Insruction for making special delivery on 14.04.2012

Following the declaration of holiday for Dr.Ambedkar’s birthday on 14.04.2012, the Post Offices will remain closed for three consecutive days from 13.04.2012 to 15.04.2012.

            Therefore, as directed by the Directorate in its order dated 10.09.92 the following special arrangement are ordered to effect delivery of paid unregistered articles and speed post articles by all delivery departmental Post Offices.

(     1)   All the Departmental Delivery Post Offices will be kept open on 14.04.2012 for effecting special delivery .

(     2)   Mails will be dispatched from RMS / TMO concerned on 14.04.12 as usual.

(    3)   Minimum required staff should be brought to duty for receipt of mails and delivery. No GDS staff should brought to duty. If required contingent staff may be utilized for this work.

  (4) The fixed monitory compensation may be paid as detailed below with the condition stated in Dte lr.No.10-7/2001-PE II dated 24.11.10.

2.	Postal Assistant	Rs.85/- per holiday for 4 hours
3.	Postmen / Sorting Postman	Rs.85/- per holiday
4.	Multi tasking staff	Rs.60/- per holiday for 4 hours

(    5)   The Contingent staff may be paid Rs.40/- per holiday for 4 hours.

(   6)   All delivery Post Offices should send a report regarding the details staff brought on duty, amount of compensation paid immediately to this office.
